Many scientists work in medicine helping sick people get better. Doctors are scientists. There are special scientists who work in laboratories called clinical laboratory scientists and medical laboratory technicians. Other people work with the scientists to help gather and prepare specimens for the scientists to analyze. Those others are called phlebotomists, or blood drawers, and laboratory assistants.
